L'Association du Village Shaughnessy a 25 ans cette année!
N'est-ce pas là une occasion de célébrer le travail de ses artisans,
la participation de ses membres, d'apprécier les acquis au fil des
années, de se remémorer des souvenirs, des anecdotes, de partager sa
vision de l'avenir de l'AVS, de susciter l'intérêt de la relève, etc.
Les membres du conseil sont à la recherche d'idées pour souligner de
façon particulière cet événement.
Lors du Brunch de la St-Patrick, ce dimanche 19 mars, au Restaurant
Alpenhaus, vous êtes les bienvenus à nous faire part de vos idées.
Si vous ne pouvez être de la partie, transmettez-les à Marie-Claude

2. Soirée d'appréciation musicale: Quelques-uns d'entre vous ont exprimé leur intérêt pour apprécier de la musique. Tous sont donc invités à contribuer, échantillonner et écouter un ensemble éclectique de pièces de musique à partir d'un système de sept hauts parleurs de 1600 watts. Les bouchons d'oreilles sont optionnels mais parfois nécessaires! Apportez vos boissons, un snack et vos disques compacts préférés. Des amuse-gueules seront servis.
Jazz, classique, funk… vraiment tout peut aller!
Premier samedi de chaque mois, à partir de 19h au 1917, rue Tupper. Minimum: 6 personnes.
3. Pour ceux qui ne pourront assister à l'Encan de la St-Patrick, mais qui voudraient néanmoins participer, je joins une liste des articles qui seront mis aux enchères. Si vous aimeriez soumettre une mise malgré votre absence, SVP écrivez à notre coordinatrice de la St-Patrick, Marilyn Ambroziak, à mazzy747@hotmail.com ou donnez lui un coup de fil au 932-8243. Roger Percival Peace gardera votre proposition en tête et si votre mise n'est pas battue par l'un des membres dans l'assistance, l'article vous sera remis!

The Shaughnessy Village Association's 25th anniversary is this year!
Our 25th year!
How should we mark the occasion? This could be an opportunity for celebrating the wealth of talent we have among our members, showcasing the work of our resident artists and artisans, recalling memories from past events, sharing the vision for the future, telling stories and anecdotes, etc...
We are looking for your ideas, suggestions, and participation as to what we can do throughout the year to highlight this important anniversary.
If you are attending the upcoming St. Patrick's Day Brunch and Charity Auction this Sunday, March 19, this would be the perfect opportunity to share your celebratory ideas and suggestions with us. If you are not able to come on Sunday, you can send them to Marie-Claude Petit at 989-7150 or marie-claude.petit@polymtl.ca .
2. Music Appreciation Nights: Some of you have expressed an interest in music appreciation. All are invited to contribute, sample and listen to an eclectic range of music with a seven speaker 1600 watt surround system. Earplugs are optional but occasionally necessary. Bring YOB, some nosh and your favourite CD’s. Munchies will be served.

3. For those who are unable to attend the St. Patrick's Day Auction, but who would like to compete nevertheless, I am attaching the list of items that will be on the auction block. If you would like to submit an absent bid, please e-mail our St. Patrick's Day Coordinator, Marilyn Ambroziak, at mazzy747@hotmail.com or give her a call at 932-8243. Roger Percival Peace will keep you in mind and if your bid is not beaten by those attending in person, the item is yours!
