Not in 25 years! has Montreal seen a show like this! A cabaret called 'One Night Only', a fitting end to a wonderful year celebrating the 25th anniversary of the Shaughnessy Village Association, was a smashing success! Unfortunately, this (almost brilliant) show had a run of only one night but impressio Percival Peace, the Almost Professional Piano Player/Lounge Singer, who managed to dig up Marilyn Monroe and Marlene Dietrich to appear on the show, is now working effortlessly on a revival for the 50th SVA anniversary!
Apart from the formidable talents of Marilyn Ambrosiak, who may have made her last appearance before retiring to England, and Ingrid Hannen, other stars to grace the stage of the Alpenhaus Theatre were banjo player Brian Sanctuary, veteran actor and story teller par excellence Walter Massey, silky toned tenor Vito de Filippo and special guest artist, the fabulous Michelle Sweeney. Accompanist Steven Colby did a stellar job at the piano.

The evening began with MC Percival Peace welcoming the audience and then inflicting them with some really bad jokes.
